Exhibit II: Major Steps in California State Capital Outlay Process

Exhibit II shows the major step process in the California State Capital Outlay Process in how a budget request is prepared by the agencies. There exist 20 step process for a budget request, for example the first request are reviewed by the Director of Finance through his architectural and construction advisor. The third step follows the Director of Finance approval, the 4th step requires for governor's budget and appropriations bill to be sent to the legislature.
