Wells Cathedral

Similarities between the lierne vault of Bristol Cathedral and the net vault of the Wells choir makes it probable that the Bristol masons were involved in its construction. The decorated period was on of bold experiment and rapid structural progress which, however, was to be halted, except in a few notable instances, by the plagues of 1348-1350.
