The Normal Hospital

The 1918 Flu Pandemic prompted San Jose State Normal to open a convalescent home in a rented house at 145 South 12th Street. Faculty and alumni staffed the hospital while some students volunteered to offer care for others in the community. (San Jose State La Torre, 1919)
