Carol W. Brown
From left: Carol W. Brown, who sculpted second bust of Steinbeck after first was stolen, Ms. and Mr Merle Strauch, the donors of the bust, and Al Madden (Mayor of Monterey). Ms. Brown was a former sister-in-law and classmate of Elaine Steinbeck. The photographer, George A. Robinson (1913-1979) was a close friend of Ed Ricketts and the personnel manager at California Packing Company from 1950-1972.
