Library Move-In

Several men carrying boxes walk up the stairs of the Dexter Library during move-in. This photo was published in El Mustang for September 16, 1949. The caption reads: "Student workers form a safari bearing books and periodicals as they file past members of the library staff standing on the library steps. A large group of student workers moved over 17,000 books and tons of bound and unbound periodicals into the new library building in preparation for its opening last Monday.
