Ken Bailey and Bert Robinson

Ken Bailey and Bert Robinson, two San Jose State College student athletes, were in Honolulu with the football team when Pearl Harbor was attacked. They both volunteered for police duty, and then enlisted to fight in World War II. Ken Bailey was killed in action in France. Bert Robinson was a co-pilot on a B-17 and flew thirty-three bombing missions over Europe. (University Archives Photographs)
