Howard K. Watkins Collection

Howard Watkins, declared by both the City and County of Fresno as "Fresno's Photo Laureate," has taken photographs of important events and happenings in the Fresno area since the 1970s. The Howard K. Watkins Collection documents in photographs significant events in Fresno and the surrounding area, as well as Watkins' personal history from 1973-1989. The collection contains nearly 17,000 photographs. More recent photographs taken by Watkins, from 2007 on, are viewable on his personal website, located at https://www.watkinsphotoarchive.com/
