The Fresno State Library is introducing a new archive collection that preserves the university's history of news and feature stories. For 26 years, FresnoStateNews.com delivered press releases, news headlines and feature stories directly to the community, alumni and students. Rather than relying solely on traditional media, the university launched this platform to build a direct line of communication with the region it serves — and beyond. Fresno State remains committed to sharing news and features directly with its audiences. As of 2025, Fresno State Today (today.fresnostate.edu) serves as the university's primary storytelling hub, featuring written features, photo galleries, documentary-style videos and more. For historical context, the Fresno State News archive is now available as a searchable digital collection for research and reference. It will continue to be updated until the full set of stories is included. The library is also developing digital collections of additional historical Fresno State stories, available through the links in the "Related URL" column.
