Pele deLappe, a lifelong social realist, was a lithographer, painter, cartoonist, activist, and educator admired for her ability to capture human emotions, from poignant to comical. deLappe's vision provides 21st century audiences with a rare glimpse into the many intersections of 20th century art, politics, labor, and culture.
