Wells Cathedral
Following the polygonal chapter house of Lincoln, Wells chapter built an eight sided, centrally supported structure, giving seating for its fifty canons. The vaulted roof has thirty-two closely spaced ribs from the central column which spread to meet the ribs of the wall piers.
