The campaign for food and clothing to load the Golden Bear to capacity on its voyage to France, Italy, and Greece is now under way and the enthusiasm displayed throughout California indicates that the mission will start on its memorable voyage with a large cargo of materials badly needed in the afflicted countries. From the first announcement that the Golden Bear would become a goodwill messenger from California, residents of Vallejo and Solano County have displayed a determination to make the first loading an important one. This is now in way of achievement and every committeeman charged with carrying out a part of the agreed program, is devoting real energy to fulfill his mission.
