The Golden Bear has cruised nearly 100,000 miles in the last 8 years on annual cruises, training young Americans to be officers in the United States Merchant Marine 1ife1ine of American industry. She has carried out every itinerary on schedule, with exceptional engineering economy. She is operated entirely by the faculty-officers and cadet-midshipmen of the California Maritime Academy.
