[Commencement 1949]

Approximately 270 Cal Poly graduated, in the football stadium. 166 men received bachelor of science degrees, and was the largest number of graduates in Cal Poly's history. On the stage was Dr. John L. Lounsbury, who gave the commencement address, Julian A. McPhee presented an honorary degree to Charles Brown Voorhis in recognition of his service to the college. The Men?s Glee Club seated at right.
