Hall of Metals, New York World's Fair 1939
View of exhibit building devoted to heavy industries showing Theme Center in distance. The structure was designed by William Gehron and Morris & O'Connor. It is triangular in shape with its main facade facing the Theme Plaza. The rear, shown here, is in the form of a portico facing on a landscaped court. Within the structure is a second court available for open-air exhibits. The building contains a restaurant, concessions and half an acre of exhibit space.
