  • At foot of page: "Notwithstanding the extraordinary attraction of the opera of La Sonnambula! yet in consideration of the very limited engagement of Madame Malibran, the lessee has consulted the general wish of the public that she should appear in a new character; and in order to do every justice to this chef d'oeuvre of Beethoven, he has expressly engaged Mrs. E Seguin, of the King's Theatre, to perform a part in it, and considerably augmented the band and choruses.
