The Du Pont Chemistry Building, New York World's Fair 1939
The Wonder World of Chemistry erected at the New York World's Fair 1939 by E.I. du Pont deNemours & company houses a series of dramatizations of the contributions of chemistry to every phase of social and industrial life. The exhibit was designed by Walter Dorwin Teague architectural plans drawn by A.M. Erickson. Among the displays is a glorified laboratory demonstrating the transformation of commonplace substances into luxuries. Colorful liquids circulate constantly in the illuminated column in the court to represent a modern chemical appliance.
