New Skipper Takes Over

Capt. C. G. Bowman, USCG (Ret.) new skipper of the California Maritime Academy's training ship Golden Bear, talks things over with Academy Superintendent H. E. Richter, USN, (Ret.) on the ship's main deck. Capt. Bowman assumed duties as commanding officer of the ship June 6. He holds a valid license as Master of Sail, Steam and Motor Vessel and has had many years at sea.
