CMA Wins Statewide Support
Support was snowballing over the state today to keep the California Maritime Academy in operation next year despite the decision of an Assembly Ways and Means Subcommittee last week to abandon the school. Commo. Russell M. Ihrig, USN (ret.) superintendent of the academy, said resolutions backing the institution had been received from many cities and organizations throughout the state.
