2010 Faculty Student Research Forum
Welcome to the Second Annual Faculty and Student Research Forum at California State University Channel Islands. This event is an exciting opportunity to experience the best of research, scholarship, and creative activities at CI. Students and faculty alike will share their discoveries, whether they are examining Why Are We The Obese Nation?, exploring the Global Climate Change and its Impact on the Breeding Populations of California Shorebirds or experimenting on the Effect of TCTP expression on bacterial growth under stress conditions. The Forum is a celebration of the accomplishments of our students and the efforts of our faculty. This collaboration between the students and faculty is a CI hallmark. We hope that this forum will inspire continued scholarly and creative achievements both in our students and faculty and that our guests will gain an appreciation for the academic excellence fostered at CI. Thank you for supporting our students and faculty. We especially want to acknowledge and congratulate the faculty who have devoted so much of their time and effort in engaging our students in research, scholarship, and creative activities.
